This is the approximate course I’ll be following during this trip and here is a break down of destinations, dates, and method of travel in greater detail:
Aug. 29 – Sept. 5 – Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka
Sept. 5 – Arrive in Bangkok and fly South to Koh Phangah in southern Thailand
Sept. 6 – Sept. 12. – Bus, trek, and fly north to Chiang Mai
Sept. 12 – Sept. 14 – Bus and trek to the Laos border at Huay Kon
Sept. 14 – Sept. 20 – Bus and trek east to central Vietnam
Sept. 20 – Sept. 25 – Bus and trek through Vietnam north to the Chinese border at Long Co
Sept. 25 – Oct. 25 – Bus, trek, and fly north to Chengdu
Oct. 25 – Fly to Mumbai
Nov. 1 – Fly to New Delhi and volunteer there until March 2010
